Have you heard of qualified charitable distributions (QCDs)? Taking advantage of a QCD from a qualifying IRA can reduce your taxable income, save you money and help the pro-life cause.
You can donate to Oregon Right to Life Education Foundation through a QCD providing essential funding for our programs. As with anything related to taxes, you have to follow some rules.
To qualify:
- You must be age 70 ½ or older
- The distribution must be made to a qualified 50 (c)(3) charity
- The distribution must be made directly from the account custodian
If you choose to give in this way, Oregon Right to Life Education Foundation has a process in place to provide the required documents for your records.
