(Oregon Right to Life) — A video by pro-life apologist and author Trent Horn analyzing the effectiveness of popular conservative podcaster Michael Knowles’ arguments against abortion serves as an excellent resource for pro-life advocates who want to improve their pro-life dialogue skills.
Trent Horn – author of Persuasive Pro-Life and a frequent defender of the pro-life position in debates – posted the video several years ago, though his points remain fully relevant and timely for today.
In the video, Horn analyzes the performance of Daily Wire podcaster Michael Knowles in two online abortion debates, making sure to credit Knowles for many positive contributions while also pointing out areas where he would recommend a different approach.
Effective strategies highlighted by Horn in the video include: refocusing the conversation on the main point rather than being waylaid by side arguments; highlighting that opposition to abortion isn’t exclusively a religious belief but can be held by people of any or no faith background; and calling out deceptive strategies used by pro-choice activists to attempt to suggest that the unborn are just clumps of cells or tissue rather than human beings.
