March for Life Youth Challenge

Get the young people in your congregation involved in the pro-life movement through a friendly competition! The participating youth group that has the largest presence at the Oregon March for Life on January 28th, 2023, will win $1,000 to be donated to the pregnancy resource center of their choice and a scholarship to Launch, a pro-life leadership retreat for students ages 16-21. Prizes will also be awarded to second and third-place winners, and all participating groups will receive a free copy of Pro-Choice or Pro-Life? by Randy Alcorn.

Participating is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

1. Register

Fill out this form to register. The deadline is midnight on January 26th, 2023.

Please note that you do not have to be a formal church leader to bring a group from your church. Anyone can bring a group as long as the youth group is involved! This challenge is also open to faith-based schools and other faith-based student groups, such as college-age ministries or Students for Life groups.

2. Submit attendance list

Fill out and return the signup sheet by midnight on January 26th, 2023. The contest will be based on the number of people your group brings to the March for Life, so last-minute changes are okay. It’s not a problem if someone drops out or you have more participants than expected. We will verify numbers at the event, but turning in the list helps us prepare.

Keep in mind that not all of the participants have to be youth group members—they can be parents, siblings, grandparents, or friends . . . the possibilities are endless. You can also team up with other youth groups or organizations (even if you didn’t plan to do that when you registered).

Return the attendance list by emailing it to makyra@ortl.org. You can take a picture of it, digitize it, or use your own signup sheet—whatever works best for you.

3. Check in at the March for Life

At the March for Life on January 28th, 2023, find the community outreach table and check in by 2:00 p.m. to verify your presence and attendance numbers (and to pick up your free book).

Winners will be announced at the event.
