Support The Born-Alive Infants Protection Act In The State Legislature

Did you know that Oregon has no legal protections for unborn babies from conception to birth? You may have heard about politicians in other states speaking in support of infanticide. But did you know that Oregon does not even require medical care for babies born alive after a failed abortion?

After Democrats in the U.S. Senate voted down a bill that would have created federal protections for these babies, we proposed a bill in the Oregon Legislature that will do the same.

The Born-Alive Infants Protection Act requires abortion providers to preserve the life of a child born alive after an abortion in the same way as any other baby would be preserved. The Act also requires that a child born alive after a failed abortion be immediately transported to and admitted at a hospital.

Don’t delay. Act now!

  1. Every human being deserves the right to medical care. It is an essential human right. Babies born alive after a failed abortion deserve medical care just the same as other human beings do. I support the born-alive infants protection act in the state legislature.

One of the featured speakers was Sarah Zagorski. She was born at 26.5 weeks and left to die. Her story is one of survival, hope, and healing from living in extreme poverty and experiencing sexual abuse. She is the Special Projects Director at Louisiana Right to Life.

My husband and I do annual missions in Swaziland (now called eSwatini) now going on 15 years and we know of babies who have been saved from pit latrines, babies left on the road side, babies dumped in the bushes in plastic bags, all saved from horrible deaths and living abundant lives at Heart for Africa’s Project Canaan (children’s home/farm). We, in the US, are doing no better, only dumping babies in sterile, clinical, medical offices instead of leaving them outside where the rest of society can see them die.

I support The Born-Alive Infants Protection Act
