We have an uphill battle as our government swells with pro-abortion appointees, and pro-abortion groups dominate the airwaves and finances. So, we engage all the more. Politicians who value human life need our support, the disabled need ouru advocacy, moms being pressured to abort need us to support and help empower them to choose life, and of course, vulnerable preborns need to be their voice.

I look forward to helping us remain a faithful and effective voice as we lovingly, compassionately, and nonviolently advocate for all vulnerable humans from their conception to natural death.

Dr. Sage is a practicing pediatrician in Portland, with special interest in children with developmental disabilities.

For the first 30-some years of my life, I was ambivalent about abortion. Then one day, to my horror, I discovered the ugly truth about abortion—in every single abortion procedure, an innocent developing child is brutally killed. “What can be done about this?” I wondered. I soon found out that there’s a lot we can do! Now, as executive director, I joyfully work to defend the most innocent among us—the unborn. Through education, lobbying, and political activity, Oregon Right to Life – the state’s most established and largest pro-life group – is successfully changing hearts and saving lives. Welcome to our website! My main job here at ORTLEF is to coordinate programs that educate the public about life issues. We do this in a variety of ways; from providing displays and literature for special events and fairs, to giving presentations and talks, to assisting students who are looking for research information. We also hold statewide Speech, Essay and Drawing Contests for young pro-lifers in grades K-12 and each spring we help run Camp Joshua, ORTL’s annual pro-life youth leadership training.
