Parents who are familiar with whining children will recognize Planned Parenthood’s whining complaints.   Their outrageous moaning is full of deceit.   If they were our children, we would send them to their room without dinner until they behaved!

Recently, the Eugene newspaper ran a feature story on “poor Planned Parenthood.”   Their government funds have been cut, and they are so broke they don’t know what to do.   They are considering charging schools for their “sex instruction” classes.  Last week, Planned Parenthood whined that it had to close one of its facilities in Alabama because it wasn’t getting enough government funds.

This is malarkey!   Planned Parenthood’s recently released annual report revealed their largest income ever – over one BILLION dollars!   They reported their highest profit ever - over $100 million!   And, as usual, one-third of their income came in the form of government grants.   [See accompanying article on this page.]

What Planned Parenthood is doing is really quite masterful, but deadly.   They are reorganizing their affiliates and expanding their business.   They are accused of being the “Wal-Mart of the abortion industry” as they attempt to drive out independent abortion clinics.

Their restructuring program includes building giant mega-facilities and surrounding them with small “convenience stores.”   With facilities in shopping malls and other easily accessed locations, they can distribute birth control, give pregnancy tests, and make abortion appointments for girls.   In some states, they are closing down some facilities and consolidating others.   It is a masterful business plan and marketing tactic.   Unfortunately, our children, both born and unborn, are victims of this giant web they are weaving.

To counter the charge that they are merely “abortion clinics”, Planned Parenthood touts that abortion comprises only 3 percent of its business.   But this, like everything else Planned Parenthood does, is deceitful.   They list every “service” singly.   For example, a girl having an abortion is, at a minimum, given four services: a pregnancy test, an STD test, the abortion, and birth control.   Perhaps she also has gynecological and breast exams.   The careful, conniving accounting of all these services is a deliberate attempt to skew the statistics, masking the reality of the number of abortions and the prominent role abortion plays in their earnings.   In reality, abortion comprises over one-third of their multi-million dollar clinic income – and their goal is to continue to increase the number of abortions they perform.

Planned Parenthood erupted in another outrageous whine this week over a common sense rule proposed by President Bush.   His proposed administrative rule states that no medical facility receiving government funding can discriminate in their hiring practices against medical professionals who will not perform abortions.

How ironic that the nation’s number one “advocate for choice” is whining about the ability of medical personnel to choose NOT to do abortions!   Planned Parenthood, we’re tired of your whining!   GO TO YOUR ROOM!
